Özet:
Istanbul is a city where layers of history and memory overlap; the Land Walls stand as a physical and narrative embodiment of this multilayered condition. In alignment with the Biennial’s theme “In Between”, the project explores the transitions between past and present, physical and digital, real and virtual.
The installation brings together scenes from ten local and international films shot around the Land Walls, appearing through augmented layers to create a multi-layered cinematic experience. The viewer moves between fragments of memory and the present moment, experiencing the city in-between.
“Augmented Thresholds” investigates the permeability between memory, space, and time, revealing how cinema reimagines the urban narrative.
