Özet
Disasters are events that people and local governments cannot overcome on their own and cause loss of life and property. National and international cooperation is the leading issue in the fight against disasters. One of the important issues in disaster organization is the need for nutrition and clean water, which is one of the most basic needs of human beings. Nutrition has to be realized differently during and after the disaster. Especially in the first 72 hours, certain priorities (search and rescue teams, infants, the elderly, the disabled, etc.) should be established to meet the need for nutrition regardless of language, religion and race. Under the leadership of the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) under the Ministry of Interior established in Turkey, the responsibility of the "National Disaster Nutrition" group was assigned to the Turkish Red Crescent under articles of the Turkish Red Crescent Organization Regulation. In this study, the nutrition model of the Turkish Red Crescent and the duties and responsibilities of the "National Disaster Nutrition" (NDRN) group, which is adherent to the Turkish Red Crescent, were examined and interviews were conducted with personnel working in the Turkish Red Crescent. Based on the literature and semi-structured interviews, a new "Disaster Nutrition Logistics Model" was proposed by conducting studies according to the phenomenology design with the MAXQDA 2020 package program.
