Özet

Today, rapidly growing population, industrialization, and urbanization are causing global environmental problems to become an ever-greater threat. Globally, there is an increasing demand for sustainable development due to issues including air pollution, water resource depletion, biodiversity reduction, and climate change. This chapter looks at how regionally implemented environmental policies contribute to the global economies' sustainable development objectives. With examples from projects in developed and developing countries, this article tries to understand the environmental policies and practices implemented for sustainable development. The findings demonstrate that international cooperation is necessary to ensure the world's sustainability. Nonetheless, a significant determinant of the sufficiency of efforts is a nation's degree of social and economic development. The outputs of this study can provide insights into regional environmental problems, cooperation against environmental risks, and the global implications of advances in environmental sustainability.
