Özet
A 25-year-old asymptomatic man underwent routine clinical examinations before entering the military service. Incidentally, echocardiography showed an aneurysm in the middle part of the interventricular septum, with considerable paradoxical motion of the aneurysmal segment. Exercise myocardial perfusion SPECT with Tc-99m tetrofosmin showed a large fixed perfusion defect in the septal wall. Coronary angiography did not show any abnormality. At the same session, contrast ventriculography showed that the aneurysm filled with contrast material. The septal aneurysm was classified as congenital, because no cause could be identified. Congenital interventricular septal aneurysms should be included in differential diagnoses in patients with fixed perfusion defects.
