Özet
Tc-99m sestamibi scintimammography could be useful in the selection of patients for axillary dissection and may help to prevent complications associated with surgery. Although prone lateral scintimammography is ideal for breast imaging, neither anterior nor prone lateral acquisition is adequate for depiction of metastatic axillary lymph nodes, especially for some large patients whose chests are not completely in the field of view. The authors report a case of infiltrating ductal carcinoma in which multiple metastatic lymph nodes were detected with 30°anterior oblique acquisition. We conclude that 30°to 35°anterior oblique views with the axilla in the center of the field of view and close to the detector surface may better define axillary involvement.
