Özet

Aim: This study aimed to examine the effect of collegial solidarity on the quality of work life among surgical nurses. Method: The research was conducted with 209 surgical nurses. Data were collected using the “Nurse Collegial Solidarity Scale (NCSS)” and the “Nursing Work Life Quality Scale (NWLQS).” Pearson correlation and multiple regression analyses were applied, and the significance level was set at a 95% confidence interval (p<0.05). Results: The mean score of the NCSS was 97.01 (SD=8.33), while the mean score of the NWLQS was 142.61 (SD=14.41). Collegial solidarity was found to have a statistically significant and positive effect on work life quality. Significant positive correlations were identified between emotional solidarity (r=0.49; p<0.05), academic solidarity (r=0.58; p<0.05), professional solidarity (r=0.51; p<0.05), and work life quality. Conversely, a negative correlation was determined between negative perceptions of solidarity and work life quality (r=-0.20; p<0.05). Conclusion: The findings indicate that as collegial solidarity increases, the quality of work life of surgical nurses also improves.
