Özet
The purpose of this study is to examine the mediating role of self-consciousness (sub-factors of self-reflectiveness, internal state awareness, style consciousness, appearance consciousness and social anxiety) in the relationship between authenticity and subjective well-being. 305 young adults (182 female and 123 male) between the ages of 20-40 participated in the study. Participants were reached via Google Forms. Demographic Information Form, Authenticity Scale, Subjective Well-Being Scale and Self-Consciousness Scale were used in this study to collect data. In the analysis of the data, Pearson Moments Multiplication Correlation Analysis was performed to examine the relationships between variables. Then, mediation analysis was performed using PROCESS Macro to test the main purpose of the study. Consistent with the expectations, significant relationships were found between the variables of the study. When the results were examined, it was concluded that internal self-awareness, style consciousness, appearance awareness and social anxiety partially mediated the relationship between the individual's authenticity level and subjective well-being. The results are discussed on the basis of the literature.
